In a Spanish cup football match between Sevilla and Deportivo La Coruña yesterday, the Malian striker Frederic Oumar Kanouté scored 2-0 for Sevilla after 40 minutes of play. But his real acheivement was his gesture of solidarity with the Palestinians under Israeli bombardments, displaying a pro-Palestine t-shirt after having scored. Kanouté was now been warned for the 'political' action by the Spanish football federation, but his brave action is justified along the lines of the 1968 Olympics Black Power salute.
