Umm al-Fahm braces for far-right procession on Tuesday

The residents of the Arab town of Umm al-Fahm is on alert ahead of a planned march by far-right nationalists scheduled on Tuesday next week. The march has been delayed by courts and police for months, but today the Israeli police has given a go-ahead to far-right leaders Itamar Ben-Gvir and Baruch Marzel (both parliamentary advisors to the National Union party).

Umm al-Fahm residents, seeing the planned march as a conscious provocation against the Arab community, have pledged to resist the attempts to enter the streets of the city and form a human blockade. The National Democratic Alliance (Balad) chairman Jamal Zahalka has stated that "...we are preparing to prevent Kahane's successor from entering the town. They're coming to send a fascist and racist message. It's only natural that Umm al-Fahm residents will protest and protect themselves and their town."

¡No pasarán!

68 election misdemeanors reported so far

About an hour ago, Jerusalem Post reported that 68 complaints have been filed at the Central Election Commission. Meretz (a Zionist "Leftwing" party) has complained that false ballots were distributed with far-right Avigdor Lieberman's name on them (making a vote with the ballot null). Kadima has complained of tampering with their ballots in several locations, and regarding Kiryat Bialik it has accused Likud activists of bearing responsibility for the tampering.

In Jerusalem a brawl between Labour and Kadima supporters broke out, which the police had to break up. A Labour activist was detained. The National Union has accused United Torah Judaism of stealing their ballot papers in Bnei Brak.

Knesset members compete in racist slurs

Tempers flared today between Israeli parliamentarians, ahead of a High Court hearing on the banning of three Arab parties. Far-right politician Avigdor Lieberman had the following words for Arab Knesset member Talab as-Sanaa;
"...you're a terrorist and should be treated as such. We will take care of you like we take care of every terrorist; we will take care of you just like Hamas"

Fellow fascist Knesset member Arye Eldad of the National Union also defended the banning of Arab parties, stating that
"So we should let them know that the Arabs are not like that; they are the poison of the earth and are unwilling to accept Israel as a Jewish and democratic state"

The Arab minority parties are banned, whilst hate-mongers like Lieberman are let loose to spread hatred and advocate state-sanctioned racial discrimination. The nature of the Israeli state keeps on revealing itself.
